I can't stand...

stuffed animals!!! I feel like my son gets a new one every special occasion. Its usually from an older family member- (i.e. my grandmother, dh's grandmother )and I don't know what to do to make them stop A few here and there is okay, but I have a three foot tall duck from Easter and a gigantic bear from his christening. UGH...

I am right on the same page as you with this. Ava has more stuffed animals than one small country needs. I HATE stuffed animals. I never liked them as a kid, and I hate them now. I am going to donate them.

I feel the same way. Aside from a few "sentimental" ones, I donate all of the rest. When #1 was born DH's mother brought a BAG full of carnival prize stuffed animals still wrapped in dusty plastic! They never made it out of the bag.

me too me too, I hate them. i didn't buy one single one for Noah, but then people just kept bringing teddies....I will keep them for a while, then donate them to some worthy cause, like kiddies without cuddly toys or something.

I rememebr & this is going 18 years ago. MY sister telling us "No more stuffed animals!!" I thought she was being mean. And not 3 years ago I said the same thing w/ Patrick. She said see I was right. They are to much.

I am guilty because they are getting softer & cuter. but, I've been stopping myself.

I agree w/ you, I told my family when Julia was born that I do not want any stuffed animals for gitfs ever! They are dust collector's!!!

I know I just finally felt OK enough to store a bunch away...I wanted to tell everyone this rule in the hospital, but how could I turn away Grandpa with the freakin' 3 foot pink It's a Girl Bear and a huge beaming smile on his face???

ok, I should post a picture of my daughters' room, it is FULL of stuffed animals and I too hate them. Every once ina while I grab a few and toss them. I bet we have about $5000 worth of stuffed anuimals in their room alone

When I was younger, I loved stuffed animals. I had sooooo many. I recently donated 3 bags full (I had to get rid because of my allergies). Yes, I agree that they are huge dust collectors, but for some reason I just loved them so much and couldn't bring myself to throw them out. Now, every time I go out somewhere, I see a stuffed thing and DH is like "you better not even start."

I will become more attached than baby. But, I think one or two is fine. My advice: get rid of them while your kids are too young to realize. I woudlnt' let my mom near my stuffed things.

Ughhh I know. I especially hate the bright colored ones that you don't even want to put out. I have an antique stroller with classic looking teddy bears in the nursery but I have the other 5o pink crappy looking ones in the spare room waiting to be bagged........

I hate stuffed animals and my son has no interest in them and they just take up space. I thought I was the only one that didn't like them. I didn't even like them when I was younger.

I have about two bins worth in the attic from when I was a kid and Amber now has about two bins worth on her own. I keep begging everyone NO STUFFED ANIMALS but they don't listen I feel so guilty throwing them away Thankfully, she loves them
