Baby Shower Location
I am helping my sister plan her baby shower and was wondering if anyone can recommend a restaurant or catering hall in nassau or queens for about 50-75 guests. I have no clue where to begin.. :( Please help!

Posted on the other thread but I had mine at Peppercorns in Hicksville. Large private room. Very nice and affordable.

Had my Baby shower at Conti's Ristorante (Little Neck) and my Bridal shower at Verdi's (Westbury, NY) they also have a Whitestone location which I recently checked out and its very pretty inside and nice big rooms.

What is your price range? I know a bunch of places in the area.

Pompei in West Hempstead...prices for bridal shower started at $23 and went up. Food was awesome. This was several years ago, so prices may have changed.
Also Plattdeutsche in Franklin Square/New Hyde Park....very reasonable prices and great food and private rooms.
Papa Razzi in Carle Place/Westbury has a private room and is reasonable.

I agree with Pompei! My bridal shower was there and it was awesome! the food and service was fabulous. I know my mom shopped around and this was the best place for the best price and got the most. She also has tons of parties there for where she works and everyone loves it. There are different sized rooms to choose from as well!

I think their food is just ok, but the place is nice. It is a more upscale restaurant, but the food I had was pretty bland. They will probably be around $45 pp before tax and tip. I called them for pricing for DD's first birthday and they were booked solid the weekend I was looking for 6 months in advance!
Valentinos on the Green is really beautiful upstairs.
I had my shower at Westbury Manor (I think it was around $50 pp before tax and tip) and it was really nice - cocktail hour, three course meal with cake, and open bar.

The restaurant at Carltun on the Park is also really beautiful.
The Inn at New Hyde Park is also in that price range I believe.
Pretty much every catering hall has a smaller room and a shower package, so I would just call around.

You might want to try Hofstra University Club. They have different options for party packages, different rooms depending on the number of guests. 'had my son's Christening party there. Hassle-free and the food was great! Very nice function rooms and staff was easy to deal with. Plenty of parking.

i had mine at Knights of Columbous in Ocean side. It was coed; price included food, cake centerpeices, linen, and open bar, it was under $40pp.
