XPost, hope you can help....Need location ideas for baby shower...
Okay, so I am going to start looking at locations in the next couple weeks for the shower. I am at a loss! We livin Ozone Park, but have a lot of family/friends that live in Suffolk & Nassau, so I want something fairly centrally located. I do not want a chinese buffet, as that is the only food that makes me ill. And I am LOVING Italian food.
Now, I am a little "fussy" b/c I would like a nice place, but don't want to break the bank. The other thing is I want somewhere that has a fairly low minimum requirement b/c though the guest list is about 65 (which was about the same for my bridal shower) but only 30 came to my bridal shower. And preferrably in Nassau.
I asked DH if we could have it at a nice place, not quite a reception hall, but not just a casual restaurant.
Please, any suggestions, preferrably w/ websites, so I can do as much online looking before going. Also, pricing would be helpful too!!
Thank you all SOO much, in advance!!!

Re: XPost, hope you can help....Need location ideas for baby shower...
My bridal and baby showers were at Peppercorn's in Hicksville. The food is good, I'm not sure of the price but I'm sure it's reasonable since my mom wouldn't have had a huge budget. I think it's a good location, easy to get to from parkways and walkable from the LIRR, which was good for my family members from the 5 boros who don't drive. HTH!

i think i went to a bridal shower at peppercorns, is it across from a fire station? it was a VERY nice room upstairs, very spacious.
and another tip (that I learned too late ) is to have a brunch (11am?) shower for better pricing. Im pretty sure the one I went to at peppercorn was an early one.
As far as near Ozone park (if thats even an option), I was going to mention Villa Russo, they have a GORGEOUS room downstairs, we had my moms surprise bday there. (same owners as Russos on the bay). they have a website, dont know it offhand.

Jack Duggans in Floral Park. FP is right on the border of Queens and Nassau, so it s a good location. We have had our rehearsal dinner and our baby shower there, and Maddy's first Bday will be there as well. The food is great, prices reasonable Here's the website...
