shower invitation q
So I just found out my SIL is pregnant and due 3.5 weeks after me. Now I know we have to plan to make sure our showers and other events don't clash since we're relatively close in due date, but now that I'm thinking about it, i don't know how the invite would work since we have the same name! (we have the same first name and we are married to brothers). How would I go about distinguishing the shower invite so that DH's relatives know it is for me, and not my SIL?

Maybe put your DH's name on there too? Like "Please join us in celebrating the baby of John and Jill Smith..."
Not so much in THAT wording, but you get what I mean

I'm pretty sure that my invitation had something on it like: Hosted by Grandma Smith & Grandma Johnson. If they're helping/hosting it, maybe something like that would help since the guests would see your maiden names?

I think that's a good idea. You can play with the wording but that should help distinguish the two of you.
another example:
John & Jill are having a baby!
Please join us to celebrate with Jill.....
