Ovulation question

So this morning I had ewcm when I wiped (sorry TMI). I popped out my OPK and it came up negative that I wasn't ovulating. This is my first time using OPK's. According to my app on my phone I'm supposed to start ovulating on the 23rd.

So my question is am I starting to ovulate early and not BD or should I wait until I get a positive OPK and then start to BD.

I'm sorry for the silly question but the first time i got pregnant before my miscarriage we didn't temp or use opk's. We just weren't careful.

What cd are you? I wouldnt go by the app on your phone necessarily unless u have perfect 28 day cycles - u really have no idea when u O based on those apps, opk's and physical symptoms are much more reliable. Based on the ewcm, u could be gearing up to O so i would start every other day until u get that positive opk!

You can have several days of Ewcm and not have started to produce the hormone that triggers opks yet. Sperm can live in Ewcm for about three days so it's a good idea to bd whenever you see it! Good luck!

Thanks for the responses girls. To answer your question im CD11 today and im normally 30-31 days so I don't have a normal 28 day cycle. Im going to start BDing today and hope for the best. Thanks again!!!

u could be starting to surge or it still could be a few days away..i would def try to maybe every other day if u can

here is my plan -

i usually see EWCM 2-4 days before O. Since I want to BD on O day (and that should be 2/24) I will BD 3 days before (so 2/21) then on O and the following 2 days.

i've read that it is best to give DH 2-3 days to build up his count hope this helps!

DH was too tired yesterday to . So I'm going to try starting today and hopefully get a positive OPK in a couple of days
