Im sorry for the update. I know that news is discouraging. Just stay positive that they transferred the best 2 and hopefully they stick
Out of 13 eggs, 10 fert and by the time we got to transfer (day 3) only 5 survived and only 2 were of great quality to transfer. The other 3 did not make it to freeze.
I ended up getting a bfp so try to stay nice and calm for the ones you transferred Good luck!

Just wanted to add...you should be very excited although I know that you wanted more frosties. The fact that your two embies expanded by day 5 is GREAT news. SIRM is of the belief that if an embryo does not expand by day 6 it is chromosomally abnormal. I believe that they have studies to back to this up. They also will only freeze embies that are fully expanded by day 6 and are at least grade 2. NO ONE can tell you whether an embryo is normal unless they do genetic testing. It is not possible. An embryo can look fantastic and be genetically abnormal. A embryo can look like crap and be genetically normal.
Just to encourage you. I had 10 embies make it at SIRM to day 5 on my 2nd IVF. I put back 5 blasts on day 5 and two others made it to the freeze. I lost three that did not make it to freeze. I got pregnant that cycle and on the resulting FET from those frosties. On my 3rd SIRM cycle, I had 7 make it to day 5 as blasts...put 5 back...and lost the other 2 that did noy make it to freeze. Again..I got pregnant that cycle. Bottom line...you have two great embies in you that you KNOW made it to an expanded state on day 5 and you have a good embie that is frozen. Good luck and try not to worry.

I cant speak from my own experience but from what Ive read is that any embryo that makes it to day 5 has a much higher implantation rate that the day 3 transfers so try to focus on what you transferred (2 great quality embryos) as you said grade 2 and grade 1 have the same impantation/success rates...
The 2 that you put back have a raelly good chance at being your take home baby(ies)
I know how hard it is to get bad news.. and I also was frustrated with not getting answers as quickly and detailed as I wanted them to be. when the dr came into the recovery room he said "we had to do all ICSI because your husbands count was low" I asked how low and he really had no answer.. he said Im not sure, it was just low as per embrlogy. 4dpt, I called my RE and they still dont have that info,
Its really annoying. I still dont even know what quality my frozen embies are.
Try to relax.. and good luck during your 2ww!!

Sorry for the late reply...I haven't been able to get on the computer all week, replying from phone for now.
Thank you all so much for your responses to the thread and by fm.
It helped so much! I had dh read them because he was feeling really bummed also.
We are now fully focused on sending good vibes to our current embies and looking forward to getting the results!
