RH shot question
Those of you with negative blood did you have to get the shoot at your pharmacy or did your doctor have it at the office? With my 1st DS they did it in the office. This time I got a script and it is $177, I found this crazy!!!! My doc office is closed now but will be calling in the morning. Everyone I have talked to think it is strange to not have it in the office.

Re: RH shot question
I just had this issue last week. They told me I had to get it at the pharmacy (meanwhile with DD they did it in the office too). Someone just called from the doctors office and said she spoke with Empire and they will order it for me. Guess it depends on your insurance..maybe give them a call yourself and find out.

My doctor's office is the same way. I had to pick up the shot at the pharmacy and bring it with me so my doctor could administer it. Your insurance will cover it. You have to pay for it up front then submit a claim with the receipt.

Re: RH shot question
This is my 3rd pregnancy and I have always had to pay for it outpatient. One time I got it in the ER and it was covered. I can't tell you how many people I spoke to at my insurance company and it just wasn't covered, so it's not unheard of.

Re: RH shot question
My OB sent me to a lab for testing....which sent me to an outpatient clinic for the actual shot (all at the same hospital/physician office center btw). I was soooo annoyed that my OB didnt do this in her office. I cant even imagine what this bill is gonna look like.
