how many cycles in a row
How many cycles does your Dr let you do?
I have already done 2 PGD/IVF's in a row, but I am not a big producer.
While I don't officially know if this cycle failed, I took a HPT yesterday morning on 6dp5dt of one early blast and BFN. My estrogen was below 100 on Tuesday so I am taking estradiol and PIO. I feel no symptoms whatsoever.
I feel like a big ball of negative energy and I just want to move on and get started again. I have already started thinking about DE because I don't know how much more I can handle this.
We have to do PGD and this round of the 5 embryos they got results on, 4 of them had chromosomal issues. 3 of them were unaffected for my disorder and only 1 was healthy. I don't know what to do.

Re: how many cycles in a row
My IVFs have always been spaced pretty far apart with other attempts to get to the bottom of things in between, but this wasn't always coming from the doctor, so it's hard to say.
When I tried the IVF over the summer and the cycle was converted due to poor response, my doctor rammed me through another IVF protocol right away. When that failed, he wanted to do the LAP to go in and see why my beautiful embies didn't implant. That took a month of waiting, the surgery cycle, and then he wanted to do a month off for things to "calm down."
The first time I did IVF (last spring) and it failed, I changed doctors and the new guy wanted to try some other things and get to know my body before he jumped into the IVF.
I will say at RSofNY they wanted you to take a cycle off in between IVF cycles.
Does that answer your question at least a little bit? It's not so cut and dry for me.
Sorry you've been through so much. I can sympathize.

My IVF's were spaced out but at my choosing. I know I did 4-5 IUI cycles back to bak though.

I was told you should take at least a month off between cycles.

Re: how many cycles in a row
My first cycle was in October, next cycle was January, then April, and then I got pregnant from my fourth IVF cycle in July. I did them as soon as they let me basically. So the months in between were waiting for AF, office closures, and BC. Between April and July I switched doctors so that took a bit of time as well.

Re: how many cycles in a row
i did two back to back then waited a while and did the third. I was also a poor responder and i had to weigh all the options. Failure wasnt something i wanted to keep going through so educate yourself the best you can and make the best decisions you can. IMO
