I heard it can be related to YOUR size at birth...but for us it wasnt.
I was over 9 lbs. My husband was 8 something, I believe.
My dd was a peanut. 7 lbs 11 oz! We thought she'd be bigger.
You never know!

I have heard it was heriditary from the father's side.
I was a huge baby. So was my sister. We both beat everyone's weight that posted. Let's just said I could have been very healthy twins  . My mom had c/s with both of us.

Both DH and I were big babies (I was 8lbs 15oz and DH was over 9lbs) and our first DD was a peanut (6lbs 14oz). DH and I were not the first born for our moms (4th and 3rd) and they say you usually have bigger babies each time so maybe that is why we were so huge

I was over 8
DH was over 9
Doctor told me I could count on a big baby bc of this
DS was 8.7. So in my experience it def plays a role. I will say that thanks to the epi I did not feel him come out all. The contractions hurt like hell but as far as hurting bc he was big nope not during and not after, no pain down there. Good luck!

I was also told it had to do with how big U are not dh
Both my DS were in the 7lb range and I was in the 7lb range. I am small, petite..

I was 7lb 10 oz, DH was 7lb 12oz...my DD#1 was 8lb 4oz and my DD#2 was 9lb 9oz...they were both 1 week late.

OMG! Were you and your twin full term? My DH has a twin sister too, but I think they were in the 5-6lb range.
Yep! She only found out she was having twins 3 months before she was due & was then put on bed rest for the last 2 months. She carried us to within a few days of her due date. When I see pix of how big she was I feel so bad! She said we were the rockstars of the nursery - no one on the maternity floor could believe it so people kept coming down to gawk

I was 8lbs 9oz, but I was also 11 days late! Not sure about DH. I had a huge head though! My family tends to have big babies. My aunts children were 11lbs 7 oz (obviosuly a cs), 9-10 lbs and the last was a month early and he was a little over 8. My cousin just had a baby boy (she was the 9-10 lb baby of my aunts ) and her DS was 9lbs 9oz delivered CS. So I don't know. Getting a little nervous about the size of my LO. I am almost 26 weeks so I have no idea how big he is now!
