Anyone else get insulted when...

Anyone else get insulted when people just give unsolicited comments like "Oh, looks like you are getting a belly!" or my favorite "Hey, you're really losing your waistline!" I mean, I know I am pregnant, but who wants to ever hear that they are getting fat!!!? and BTW, this was my MIL! She hits me up with at least 2 of these a week! fun.

I really don't get insulted with that because I know that I am getting bigger so that's part of the plan but I do get insulted when people have to make comments on what I am eating..that really pizzes me off!

Yep- this a.m. I was getting ready to eat my cereal and one of the guys in the shop said ' ooh, you have to start watching what you eat-you're really putting on weight.' I just looked at him and gave him this face

I would totally have flipped out on him!

What I hate is unsolicited comments or advice on what Im eating or drinking! I have to agree with the other girl who posted this...

My friend had the nerve to lecture me for 20 minutes because I drink half a cup of coffee a day... With this sheer look of horror on her face, she is like "OMG YOUR HAVING CAFFEINE?!" Than I have to hear how she avoided it during her pregnancy and her son sleeps through the night since he was born... And do I want to forget about sleep with the baby is born because that is what caffeine is doing to my baby... I should really be more careful...

I just walked away from her and I limit my conversations with her now LOL

Everyone has been pretty great and no one has really said "Oh your getting big." I guess because I was heavy to begin with no one really wants to say anything. The only one of course is my mother, but she was saying things in regards to my weight b4 I was pregnant. Everyone else is telling me here eat this or that I think they are trying to make me bigger, LOL!

Oh the MiL comments!!!! Mine told me that the baby has already stolen my beauty. Yup... No words for it. Oh yeah and the people who all think I'm much further along bc I'm getting so big... Those comments are always pleasant as well. I swear, stupid people take the fun out of everything! Grrr

The "oh you're getting a belly" or "getting big" comments don't bother me because, well it's true! And I think the majority of people don't mean it in a mean way at all.
Now if someone was saying it trying to take a jab, then I guess it would annoy me, but I haven't really encountered that.

Honestly, pregnancy is the only time we should be happy we're gaining weight, so it doesn't bother me.

I actually get the 'you look great, barely PG!' which also offends me because i gained 20 lbs and am 8 mos. PG and certainly do NOT look like this when not PG!
