after how many months do you contact dcotor?
I cant complain that its been forever, but DH and I have tried since Sept to conceive.. so after 4 months, NOTHING..
should i call the doctor and see if everything is ok?? blood/hormone level?
we didnt even try with my last two pregnancies and ive been through a lot of cr*p in the last year, so i know that can affect this.
Sept we tried on own, and Oct-Dec I used the clearblue ovulation kit.
ADVICE please

I think it may depend on age, but my doctor told me if I had troubles I would need to wait at least 6-8 months before contacting her for an appt. hth good luck

Depends. If you know you have a health issue, some people skip right to fertility treatments. But if not, they say that under 30 to try for a year and 35 to try for six months before seeking help.

Took me 6 months the 1st time, then i miscarried and now its been 4 months. I actually have an appt today for bloodwork to confirm im ovulating (opks only detect hormone surge doesnt mean u O) and to go over my options for starting some testing.

since you already have two kids and know you can get pregnant, and assuming you have a normal predictable cycle, unless you are over 40 i would wait 6 cycles.

I think it depends on your age and if you know /think you may be facing some challenges.
My DH has some minor issues, I am 34 and after 7 months made an app at RMANY...then got my BFP a few days before I was supposed to go in.

JMO I think its a little too early to start worrying. They say it can take up to a year for a healthy couple to have a baby. I'm not suggesting you wait that long either, I didn't. I figured that once I got closer to a year - like 8 months - I would see someone.

thats the problem - i dont have 2 kids.. only my 3 yr old son..
i got pregnant and carried two healthy kids, (born jan 2009 and nov 2010)
but my daughter passed a bowel movement in womb and choked on it (sorry to explain this) she stopped breathing and i had an emergency c-section where they had to revive her.. he was on every machine imaginable to help her survive.. she passed away after 5 horrendous days in the nicu when we took her off the machines... that was a year ago, this past nov.
so thats part of my problem - is that causing me not to get pregnant?? i was ok at the doc in sept - reg examine and sono.. but the stress, thoughts, memory of my daughter.. (i guess thats what im blaming it on)
should i call for bloodwork?? i see all these posts about hormone levels and not ovulating and all these other roadblocks... i dont want anymore time to pass - i want my son to be a big brother and i want a big family.. this struggle to conceive is killing me and im putting so much thought and stress into it.. its hard not to think about it ALL the time..
sorry for the vent its been a tough week at work and AF also showed up sunday...

Oh, my. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I don't think that losing your daughter is the reason for TTC taking extra time. It sounds like you were able to get pregnant and carry a pregnancy. Assuming everything went smoothly with your csection, I can't think of a reason why you couldn't get pregnant again.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
