Robke's in Northport
I have to say we always have our special luncheons here and have never had a single issue. We have always had wonderful service.
Today was just absolutely awful! First they lost our reservation. Understandable, they did a great job of getting us in. Everything after that was just plain rude. Let's see...I can understand no substitutions, but they never had this in the past, but okay, it was busy, no big deal. We were all having a glass of wine and had asked for water at the same time. It took three times to get water. At one point someone got up and went behind the bar to fill up a pitcher.
Our salads and lunches come out, they forget to put any dressing on or bring any out. Entirely forget to bring a meal out and one of us has to physically go and get it.
I thought the owner was looking over because he saw how no one was helping us, but nope, he wanted us to hurry up and leave! This is even before we were offered dessert! Finally we have coffee, someone had just gotten another glass of wine and he pretty much asked us to leave! We were there for just over an hour and if we didn't have to provide our own wait staff service it would've been quicker. I commented to the owners son on the way out and he was pretty much non apologetic and said all well!

Thats awful!! I was thinking of trying this place but that doesnt sound too appealing.

Im actually surprised because they aren't usually like that. I do know since they have their special lunch I can understand the no substitutions but the rest isnt usually like them

I know :( We've been going there for a number of years and have never had a bad thing to say. Always great service and a great time. It was just so far from that today, and it wasn't even one or two things.

The last time we went, the service was awful too. It isn't usually like that. The food and all was good, at least that hadn't changed.
I would still go, that steak mac n cheese is to die for1!!!
But I really hope it isn't going downhill :(
