Registering for #2...
Would you/have you registered for #2?? I know I can't keep track of things and I have 5392847482910 to-do lists around the house... I'm thinking that it would be easier to have a registry (small one with the basics - nothing like it was with DC1) so I can keep track, and get a discount at the end. WWYD/WDYT? Be honest...

I registered to keep myself a list. The only people who were really gonna ask me what I actually needed were the grandparents. When they asked me I told them what I needed from the registry and one came with me to purchase- the other got it on Amazon. Last week I bought almost all the rest of the registry myself b/c the baby is coming pretty much any day now so I needed the stuff and anyway I'm pretty sure no one else is buying anything from it since I really didn't tell anyone.
I left on the registry a few things I want but don't need for a newborn.
I don't care much about the "completion coupon" really b/c 10% is crapppy compared to the 20% coupons always floating around. I will use it for some low priced stuff like nipples etc. since it's better than nothing.

I am registering! My DD will be 6.5 when DC2 is born! The car seats are all expired and there is a lot of stuff that we will need.
I am registering reguardless of whether or not people decide to throw me a shower. If they do, great, if no, oh well...we will still get the completion discount and I like the idea of being able to keep track of everything that we need for this baby in one place!

This is what we did. Since our kids will only be 22 months apart, we don't need a whole lot for baby #2. And we were Team  for both, so we have tons of gender neutral clothing, gear, etc. We registered for a few small things (like new bottles and pacifiers), and then a double stroller, and extra monitor camera, big stuff like that. There's probably under 10 things on the registry, but we will get the discount at the end!

This is what I'm doing as well - for the completion coupon.
We need all new bottles - we lost so many and a lot of pieces broke so it's cheaper just to replace the whole thing and a double stroller. DS blew out a spring on his Jumperoo as well so I need to replace that too.

Same here. I have a small registry for things I will need... since I gave away all my baby items 5 years ago when we were done!

I'm not. My boys are only 16mo and my friends and family were extremely generous w/ them and I will just buy whatever I need for the new baby.

ill preface this by saying I am not pregnant yet nor do i have kids, but wanted to respond (sorry to crash) based on my experience...
i would LOVE if people registered for their second child. I wouldnt make it public knowledge, but having it if people search i think would be great.
the reason i say this is because i had dinner with a friend monday, she is having a c-section in 2 weeks...i wanted to get her a gift but had no idea what she needed for #2. i checked and unfortunately she is not registered. i decided not to get her anything...and turns out after speaking iwth her monday night i now know what to get her.

I'm registering. I did with Sasha, and I didn't have a shower or anything (I'm Jewish).
Anyway-- people will still send gifts and while I will probably get lots of clothes/personalized items-- a lot of people will still look for a registry. Plus, I need to get organized and figure out what I need anyway.

I will register for myself, so I can keep track of some things I need. I wouldn't tell anyone about it, expect my mom because I know she already wants to get some stuff. My dd will only be 21 months when dc2 is born so I don't need much, unless its a boy than I will be a need a lot.

I am doing the same thing.
I think every time you have a kid you should make yourself a small registry so you know what you need. You always need something and it's a way to keep track.

Same for me, figured the completion coupon could help alleviate some of the cost of the double stroller, extra monitor, etc. The babies will be 22 months apart also but DC#1 is a  and this time I'm having a  so I also registered for a few girl outfits.

I will as well for the discount. At least just to get new bottle accessories. We have the Dr. Brown's bottles and they have lots of pieces that need to be replaced!
But I'll put the double stroller on there too, the coupon will help for that too!

I have a registry for #2 more for me to remember what to get and get a discount for it. If DC#2 is a girl since I have a DS there is talk of a sprinkle. All the big item though (swing, bouncer, etc) we are using DS's because we got it all unisex.

Im not registering for number 2. All the stuff we have for Lara is gender neutral so we are just reusing everything. All I need is new bottles and clothes.
