Anyone have to do there glucose test earlier then the 24-27 week mark, because of something the doctor was concerned about?

I went to doctor today because I thought I had a UTI. I didn't have a UTI, but they found sugar in my urine. I had to get some blood work done and I'm waiting on the results. I didn't have Gestational Diabetes when pregnant with my DS, but my sister and mom had it with all their pregnancy's. Plus, both my mother's parents and brothers and sister have or had diabetes. My mother is the only one who hasn't gotten it.
My first Pregnancy was so easy and this one has been nothing but problems. I'm 18 weeks Pregnant.

I had to take it 3 times with my second pg. First one was at 15w because my midwives were concerned about my weight and also how much DS1 weighed at birth. I passed and had to do it again at the regular time and failed took the two hour and passed with flying colors. So not so much like your story but I did have to take it early.

Diabetes is common in my side of the family and I'm overweight. My OB had me tested early and I passed. Im scheduled for another one next week.

I had it done at 16 weeks because I had GD with my son. I guess they are testing you early because of the family history?
