Lower back pain
Anyone have any tips for dealing with lower back pain, particularly when trying to go to sleep? My back seems to hurt most at night, but only certain nights (probably the days I overdo it bending down/playing with my son- I can't help myself! ). When it's really bad, it keeps me from going to sleep because I can't find a position that eases the pain. I've tried both sides, a pillow between my knees, a pillow under my belly, a pillow under my hips, and many combinations of those! Anyone have anything else that works? Thanks!

Re: Lower back pain
Try elevating your legs. I get a lot of back pain and this worked before I got pregnant.

Re: Lower back pain
mine has gotten exponentially worse over the past 24 hours. the only thing that sort of helps is sleeping mostly sitting upright with a tempurpedic pillow under my lower back, and when i shift to either side, staying on an incline and stuffing an add'l pillow between my legs. Sometimes a warm bath before bed helps too.

Re: Lower back pain
I suggest finding a local chiropractor. You'll be so much more comfty and your labor will be so much smoother. I practice, but only part time so I can be with my DD, but I can probably help you find one if you need help. Feel free to fm me.

Re: Lower back pain
Thanks for the suggestions, ladies! As per WenRC's suggestion (because it's the only one I read before bed last night ), I tried elevating my feet. It definitely seemed to help last night. Thanks!

Re: Lower back pain
I use a heating pad-- and try to get DH to massage me as much as possible.
