Anyone NOT doing birth announcements?
Am I am bad mommy if I don't do a birth announcement? Within the last year I've sent out Thank You's for my bridal shower, Wedding Invites, Thanks You's for my wedding, Baby Shower Invites, and Thank You's for my baby shower. The Post Office Lady and I are on a 1st name basis!

Nope not a bad mommy. Im having baby number two in February and Im leaning towards no birth announcements either.

Since you are close to the holidays, I would do combined birth announcement/Christmas or Hannukah cards.

I didn't with dd because I saved our money for a nice baptism invite instead. Many family and friends saw a lot of her at birth.

Im crashing here.. But DD was born on Nov.4th and i sent out a x-mas/birth annoucment killed 2 birds with one stone :)

I want to do them but with both of my other children my MIL gave me such stress about did you send it to this one? Did you send it to that one? Is this one going to think you are looking for a gift if you send them one? I think I might just send them to my side and our friends and let my husband deal with sending them to his side, but I think it's fine to not send them.

I know tons of people who haven't sent birth announcements. Totally unnecessary, but I do think its a cute idea if you wanted to send something, to send it as a holiday card as well.
