Ladies toward the end...Hand Swelling?
Anyone else having any issues with their hands swelling? It started a couple of days ago, I wake up and my hands are so swollen that it's hard to close them or make a fist. I drink a ton of water and I don't eat salty foods. Any ideas? Anyone else dealing with this?

I am...I hate it! I am 33 weeks and it started at the end of 31. I know what you mean..can't close my fingers or make a fist..my fingers are so swollen especially underneath my joints. I can't wear my wedding rings anymore...not even for fear I won't be able to get them off..it's that I can't get them on anymore! I drink tons of water...guess we just got lucky with this symptom! If you figure out any magic cures let me know!!

I have that. My hands get numb, bones and joints hurt so badly that i can't bend them when i wake up. as the day goes on and after a hot shower it subsides. My dr told me it is carpal tunnel and that many women have it when pregnant. My probably started a week or so ago around 36-37 weeks.

Both hands and feet are swollen. If you read my last 2 posts my BP went sky high at the last second. My BP was always 120/80.

I noticed a tingling in my fingers yesterday and today. Going to mention it tomorrow to the Doctor but I think it is probably carpal tunnel. No swelling though.

Totally normal. I had it with my DS#1 towrds the end and I have it now since 35 weeks. It s ucks! but it totally goes away after the baby comes.

I developed that at 32w too. At my appointment I asked my OB what I could do for it. He replied, "Have a baby."

mine have been getting swollen at least once a day now for the past month or so (i think starting around 30-32 weeks)
Somedays its horrible and my fingers and hand swell up and turn bright red like stuffed sausages and the tingle and feel gross, other days its just minor swelling
i haven't worn my rings in several months though
interestingly enough, my blood pressure is fine and i have no swelling in my feet

Just saw your second post. So glad that you and baby are ok! I did put a call into my Dr this morning because my ankle swelling is getting worse. It use to just gradually occur throughout the day, now they are swollen after my being awake for 30 minutes. Figured I'd be cautious and call just to be safe.
The hand thing is weird cause I wake up all swollen in the hands and it goes down throughout the day. Total opposite of the ankles. Pregnancy is really really strange.
to the ladies in the same boat!

I started swelling at 32 weeks (hand and especially feet). I had to take my rings off and (thank god It was July/August) wear only flip flops/sandals. my BP was always fine though. And just to prepare you... the swelling might get worse after you deliver. I thought my feet were going to explode about 4 days postpartum.
