this pregnancy is so much more nerve wrecking than the first one, anyone else feel really stressed while pregnant? (whether it's your 1st or 2nd)

I feel like I'm always stressed, worried, scared, thinking the worst when it comes to this pregnancy. I don't sleep well, wake up a lot, have this weir anxiety ALL the time. I'm not sure where this is coming from. I think one of the reasons is the spotting I had in the begging of this pregnancy and the fact that I keep having yellow brownish spotting on and off, I mostly notice it on a TP , but last night I also saw some on a thin pad I always wear. My OBGYN keeps telling me it's nothing, she already did 2 "emergency" ultrasounds and everything looks perfectly fine, she says since my first pregnancy was fine risk of mc is very low, but I worry and worry and stay up all night. Plus I have lots of pain, mostly dull pain, but also weird cramping sometimes which I know is due to my C/S scar tissue .
I never had any spotting with my first, and obviously no C/S scar.
I just keep having this crazy fear and anxiety and I don't know how to get rid of it. I'm wondering if I'm alone here .
I have an appt with my OBGYN next week for a sono to hear the first heartbeat. I'm hoping I'll feel better after that (as long as everything turns out fine)

you're not alone. im trying so hard to be happy that im pregnant (and of course I AM!) but i am sooooooo worried. After dealing with IF, and currently dealing with a few minor complications, I feel that the stakes are so high.

I dont sleep either!

Def NOT alone! I also spotted yesterday so my DR wants me to relax/rest more....then go back next Monday for sono. I had a sono at 6wks and saw the HB. I also have a DD who is 2. Issues w/ that pregnacy was just GD and at 14 wks I bled from placenta previa. But I didn't spot in the first tri w/ DD. Lets just try to relax!! I think if something was wrong we would know, right? My Dr office just told me today that cramps can feel as painful as bad period cramps.

I felt exactly the same way early on and it's still easing up at 11 weeks. Even though I had weekly sonos with my RE and they always went well, I never had spotting even though I knew it could happen, I was usually awake for 2-3 hours every night. I was sooo nervous to get excited. I was also reluctant to let my family get excited. Now I'm just counting the days till my NT Scan for more reassurance. I can't help but think that the nerves are going to last until I actually hold the baby in my arms.

I hear you. I am on my 37th week and I am fearing that my water is going to break every time I move. Sometimes I think its better to not know what to expect then to know whats right and wrong.

I am 5w3d pregnant wtih baby #2
spotting here and there
never experienced this was baby#1
this is driving me crazy. i dont know why i am so paranoid with this one as well.
I go Fri to the doc, (my second visit)
hope all is well.
I went when i was about 4w so it was too early to see anything on the sono.
I did blood work 2x and my beta's doubled or quadrupled whatever they did they were supposed to do but im still a mess

hoping it gets easier for both of us :)

So glad I am no alone I am just shy of 6 weeks with #2 and I am so nervouse something will go wrong.
I am still under the care of my RE, had a million betas where my numbers did what they were supposed to,
take progesterine 2x/day just as a precaution,
had a sono at 4 weeks and was a gestational sac and a sono at 5 weeks and saw a yold sac.
I go back on Sunday for another sono and bw and am to see the hb.
Maybe that will make me relax???

I've been the same way this pregnancy. I had bright red bleeding on vacation at ~ 6 weeks... and on and off spotting up until about a month ago... I'm 26 weeks now... I've had probably 4 EXTRA sonos... they never saw a cause... just try to stay relaxed.

you arent alone. Pregnant #2 has been one complication after another (spotting, cramping, not high blood pressure). I do love this child but because so much is going on with DS and its so hard to concentrate on #2.
