I am sorry it was not a better experience. If it continues to be like that I'd find a new dr. See what the results of the test say but a positive is a positive!
are you spotting red or brown? a lot (a whole pad worth?) or dots? spotting can be very normal especially in the beginning.

thank you. once I find out the results today I'll go for another BT on Thursday and then I'm done with them. Since I have some health issues my OBGYN thinks I should be under high risk OBGYN care anyway as a regular patient , not just once a month so I'll be going to someone else ...
I'm not spotting at all anymore, nothing since Monday morning, last time I noticed something was early on Monday, it was just a tiny drop of brow discharge on TP and that was it. I did another test last night and this morning, used different brands and both positive, the line and + is pretty dark on both.
Oh and the Q was , what did they tell you when the called you after the blood tests and did they do the BT just once or 2x?

Wow that office is horrible. It's not much?????????? Couldn't they just tell you your HCG number since you asked? I'm so sorry they're driving you crazy. You should definitely change doctors after this. And you are probably closer to 4 weeks which is why the number is low and there is nothing wrong with that.

I am SO sorry that your doctor's office is giving you this experience!
There is so much to be nervous over in early pregnancy as it is, this nurse's wishy-washy responses aren't helping any at all!
Have you been going to this doctor for a while or are you a new patient of theirs? I would be looking at other options and asking around if I were you. Just because it doesn't seem as if you've had a positive experience with them yet.
I hope you are able to get your answers soon!

Thank you, that's the thing it's already so stressful for me, so for them to not be able to communicate properly and give me yes or no answer is more than I can handle . I am def going to someone else, especially after this. I have been going to them for 2 + years now, but never had any problems or complains, I like the dr and liked the office too, but not any more ...

I'm sorry, but I would get out of that practice. There's no reason that they shouldn't have been able to give you the # of your beta. Unless they ordered qualitative instead of quantitative. Then in that case, they should own up to their mistake and tell you. And add on the quant to the blood done yesterday for comparisson. How annoying!

The only reason i can think of that they'd not be clear with you, is that your beta number is high, but not definitively high enough. They want to see if the number doubles before confirming that you are definitely pregnant. Either way, they should have been completely up front with you about it and told you what their concerns were (if that is the concern at all) so you know what to expect.
Either way, i hope you go in Thursday and get the positive result you're hoping for and the beta numbers are good!

They sound very unclear which can be annoyiong, but my doctor won't even call with numbers until he has the second blood test results. They can't really tell anything without the second test. Your HCG levels needs to double within 48 hours. If they don't then the pregnancy can be considered less viable. There is not much to tell by the first test only and that should have been explained to you. Good luck to you. Hope everything works out

Okay, please, you need to switch out of that office. You will be going there a lot, and if they are difficult, then well, you aren't going to want to deal with that.
My beta at 4 weeks with DS was a 49, and he's a happy, healthy 2 year old. I was with an IF doc when I got pg with him so I did like 423082308 betas because I begged, but with this one I only did one beta because I was about 5 weeks and went to the IF doc and he just did a sono right away and saw sac, yolk sac and fetal pole, and hb, so he just skipped the rest of the betas.
DO NOT WORRY, and seriously consider switching docs. If you need recs, I love my doc and he's in Deer Park. Good luck
