OBGYN
I am about 7 weeks pregnant and I went to OB last week to confirm pregnancy but they only did a urine sample, after reading many posts on here it seems that all you other girls received blood test when did you go for blood work?? I am going back this week again not exactly sure for what except the dr said that we should be able to see the baby and heartbeat! Just worried that I am not getting all the things done that everyone else seems to be getting. TIA

Re: OBGYN
My OB didn't do blood work either. Not every OB confirms with blood work.

Re: OBGYN
When I got my BFP (maybe I was about 5 wks?) I called my OBGYN's office and the only thing they did was make an appointment for me to come in at 8 wks for an internal sono. Then the next week I had my first real appointment with my doctor. At that appointment we talked, he did a pap and breast exam, a quickie sono, and gave me a script for all sorts of blood work. Then it was "see you next month!"

Re: OBGYN
Mine didn't confirm with blood test. The blood work he did was all the tests they do, I think HIV, genetic disorders, hemoglobin counts. There were a lot.
ETA: this was at 8 weeks, I wasn't under the care of a RE.

Re: OBGYN
Most of us who had blood work were under the care of a RE or had issues in the past. Blood work is not normally done.

Re: OBGYN
I didn't get blood work. No need to, I have no history of miscarriage or pregnancy complications, and wasn't bleeding. The only b/w we did do was first trimester screening, but not until 8wks.

Re: OBGYN
I didn't get my bloodwork done until (I think) about 12 weeks. At my initial appointments, my doctor only confirmed with urine and a sono.
