Re: Belly Band
It helps to keep you in non maternity pants longer. So you can have the button undone on your pants and it lays over them to keep them up on you. If you've already transitioned into maternity pants, you probably won't need the bella band.

Re: Belly Band
I would go with the maternity pants. so much more comfortable especially if you have a belly now, I used it for a few weeks but still felt like I had to tug on my pants and make sure they weren't falling below the belly band.

Re: Belly Band
The belly band looks like a small tube top, if you can picture that. The point is to let you wear your pre-pregnancy pants for longer - you can wear the pants unzipped and unbuttoned so they fit over your bigger waist, and slip the belly band over the top to keep them from falling down.
By 20w, though, there was no way I'd fit into pre-preg pants, even with the belly band. I used it from 10w to about 15w.
Are you asking if you should use a belly band in addition to maternity pants? If so, then the answer is no. The maternity pants have a built-in belly band of sorts, as they all have elastic at the waist already.

Re: Belly Band
I use it as belly suuport, I put it on over my maternity pants and it helps smooth things out and give me a little more comfort, I never leave home without it!

Re: Belly Band
i bought one and never ended up using it because i got very bloated in my tush/hips/thighs early on... too much to pull my pants over, even if i didn't button.

Re: Belly Band
Crashing...
I used it with my maternity pants mainly because they wouldn't stay up on me (and they were the right size and I was huge).

Re: Belly Band
I loved it. I used it until my regular pants literally could not stay up anymore even with the belly band help. I stayed in my regular pants until about 21-22 weeks because of it. I also plan on using it after having the baby. I heard it helps keep you in so that your tummy gets a little firmer following the birth - I know some women use actual girdles but I'm going to try this. It's suggested on the packaging as well.

Re: Belly Band
I have a white one that I use under my white shirts when I have dark pants on. Sometimes, the light shirts seem thin and you can see the dark belly band through it so I wear the belly band to cover up the dark pants

Re: Belly Band
I love it! I own 3 colors white, black, and nude. I can still wear all my non maternity pants with it and I'm 22 weeks. I have heard its a love or hate thing. some people hate it and never find it useful. for me, I should have bought it sooner! I was so bloated at 9 weeks and was forced to wear maternity pants but I need xs and its so hard to find them. so this really works well. eventually I will switch over to maternity pants but I will push it as long as I can.
