Had a sono today
This morning I called the office because last night I had a hairline of blood in my cm again. They asked me to come in for a sono. I thought I was 5w5d based on when I O-ed. I've been temping so it should be pretty accurate. The sono tech says it's only looking like 4w3d. It was just a black circle that I saw. She told me not to worry because it implanted in a nice high spot and it looks good. Naturally I'm nervous that I'm behind a week though. I'm very sure of when I O-ed. Did anyone else experience something like this?? I have to go back Aug 9. The dr also told me to start taking baby aspirin also.

Re: Had a sono today
I disagreed with the stupid chart they use because I, too, knew when I O'ed and when we conceived and she put me 2 weeks more. But when I went to the OB, she measured the baby and said I was right!
Don't be worried. I saw the baby at around 4 weeks (which the first dr. said looked 6) and it was what you described :)

Re: Had a sono today
funny you write this...just had my first sono today...they only asked me when i made my appointment when my last period was so based on that they estimated me as 8weeks...so when the doctor did my sono he said i was only measuring 6 weeks and change...so of course i freaked out then i told him i ovulated late and i told him when i got my smiley and he recalculated everything and he says the baby is the right size if i ovulated later....i still have this un easy feeling about it but i go back back in three weeks for another sono so hopefully the babywill be measuring correctly...unitl then ill be a nervous reck

Re: Had a sono today
the first time i went, was due to low progesterone and i was only measuring about 4 1//2 weeks, whereas by LMP i should have been about 5 1/2 weeks. i saw the sac and a yolk sac, that was it. they had told me for how far along i was, it was perfectly normal. and when i went back a week and a half later, there was the heartbeat and all. they moved my due date back a week bc i was measuring a week later than we originally thought - but i did ovulate a few days later than a "normal" cycle, and tend to have longer cycles, so this all coiincides. to you but i am sure everything will be right on track when you go back the 9th. hang in there, i know it's stressful.

Re: Had a sono today
Thanks girls. I'm just really nervous because I know when I O-Ed based on temping and OPKs so being a week behind my calculations is making me so nervous. The sono lady was telling me not to be nervous but I just feel like a week behind is not good at all.

Re: Had a sono today
my 1st sono was at 5w 5d and all i saw was a bubble. The next one at 7wks showd a peanut. In the beginning, progress is slow but after a few weeks that baby is going to have a growth spurt! Hang in there :)

baby asprin acts as a blood thinner and will help with implantation and blood clots.

He told me it would help the blood supply to the baby. I don't have a clotting issue.

i would think he says that cause it thins the blood..at least thats why i am on it
either way to the poster who asked i would not take baby asprin unless told by a doctor

Re: Had a sono today
Temping usually you are going to O, and then when you do, it can take a day before the sperm reach the egg. Baby making is not an exact science. Don't stress too hard about how many days you are. Stress is not good for you or the baby. at 4 weeks or 5 weeks, there can only be a sack. After your 6 weeks and change, you will see a heartbeat. Lots of women have a lot of blood and still go on to have a successful PG. Not in any way trying to minimize your symptoms, but want you to know that many things can happen and everything can be OK. Wishing you all the best!

Yeah I would've never taken it if he didn't tell me to. He assured me though that it isn't going to make me bleed or anything because it doesn't thin it that much. I was honestly surprised he asked me to take it since I don't have a clotting issue but I guess he felt it was a safety precaution and just really believes in it. Thank you all for your encouragement! I'm trying to calm down and pray that next time I go I see a little baby in there.
