How many registry items do you have?

I registered at BBB and BRU and split the order pretty much 50/50 between the two. We don't have baby showers where I come from and even though I have been to plenty here over the years I can't help but feel like I am being a pig with all the stuff I put on my registries.

I followed the recommended list and have about 75 items on the list ranging from large, expensive items to pacificers and nail clippers. I didn't order furniture or the travel system but I did order these high price items:

Maclaren stroller $250
Britax convertible car seat $300
Pack n play $160
Snugabunny swing $165
Baby front/back carrier $135
Baby monitor $200

I have a few items at the $50/$60 range and then everything is smaller. Is this the norm? I really don't want people to see my list and think that I'm being greedy.

I have 106 items between my two registries. I do not think it is a big deal because no one is being forced to buy everything that is on there. A lot of the things vary in price and there are definitely a lot of smaller items. I would not be too concerned about it.

I feel the same way as you do. I have about 11 pages on my BRU registry! I followed the recs too. This baby will be coming with a ton of stuff. I registered for the big stuff like you did as well, we took care of the furniture.

I think its the norm.

I registered for all that stuff too and got most of it.

I had 120 items on my registry.

I have a lot of items on my registry I don't feel bad because it gives people a variety to choose from and whatever is left on there you can buy later and get a discount for. If you dont put it on there then you wont get the discount if nobody buys it.

I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think I feel comfortable having a shower after my loss. I guess I'll have a better idea of how I feel when it gets closer. As of now we plan on registering anyway so that we can get the discount on big ticket items since we plan on buying everything ourselves. If someone happens to look it up they might think I'm crazy or greedy (for setting up a registry with no baby shower) but I really don't care

I wouldn't worry about having too many items. I remember feeling that way with my bridal registry and I got just about everything I registered for! I remember being shocked. I would just make sure you register for what you really need that way none of the gifts you receive are useless or a waste. I was very careful to do that with my bridal registry but I'm a minimalist and hate to have things I don't need or use.

that sounds very much like what i have. about 80 items (not including multiples) with prob about the same amount of high priced ones....no furniture on the registry.

I have about 90 between the two registries. I didn't do some things, b/c I already bought, diaper genie, jumparoo, breast pump and stroller. We aren't doing a pack and play, and I'm going to wait on getting the next car seat. Oh and I didn't follow their guidelines, I used Baby Bargains only.
