Re: Perhaps I should have been a doctor...
A bleed whether forced or natural does not mean ovulation. You can get a bleed every month and never actyally ovulate, which is often the case for those pcos. It's an anoovulatory cycle. The purpose of the provera is to start a fresh cycle. Basically even if you were to ovulate this late the egg quality would most likely be pretty poor and not fertilize properly.

WOW!! I'm so glad you kept pushing your doctor for you to get tested! I think some doctors needs to listen more to their patients!!! You have a great game plan ahead!! Good Luck with everything! I am wishing you lots of that sticky baby dust!!! So glad you finally know what is going on with your body!! Such a relief!!!!

this 100 percent!!!!!!!
i do not ovulated on my own at all and had my period..there were times it was 70 days and i took provera to start fresh
as for the metformin..i was put on bc my body was not digesting or processing sugar at all and it made me diabetic
it also helped regulate my cycles a little bit
PCOS can be so diff from person to person..a RE might be a good idea

Re: Perhaps I should have been a doctor...
I would run from that doctor and go see a RE. Clomid should be closely monitored and should only be used for a specific number of times. too many OBs jump right to clomid.

So what happens to the eggs if I don't ovulate?

They become the cysts.

My pleasure. I only know all this after having been diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago and ttc for almost 2 years.
