1 cm today....getting scared
So I went to the Dr. today...I am 1cm dilated. I am so anxious not knowing when its going to happen. Im scared that I will not get to the hospital in time....my anxiety is killing me right now.

If it's your first, it's very unlikely that you won't get to the hospital in time. It almost never happens with a first child.
Try to relax and just use the nervous energy to concentrate on what you've learned about giving birth. Your LO will be here so soon and life will change in an amazing way forever!
You'll get there!!! Keep taking some deep breaths.

I was 1cm dilated for two and a half weeks. And then was in labor for 23 hours. You'll make it in plenty of time.

I had a friend who was 3cm dilated for 2 wks. Don't stress!
You'll make it in time and thensome.

At my 38 week appt I was 3 cm dilated and my dr. said I would go into labor that night....it took me almost 3 more weeks to get to 4cm...and went into labor that night.
Don't be scared, I was terrified of the unknown, just don't be afraid to call the dr. if you're feeling strange or any kind of pain.

honestly, dont take this the wrong way, but its normal, even good, for this to happen. i was 4 cm dilated with dc #3 for 2-3 weeks, and made it to the hospital. i seroiously would not worry. not evne give it a second thought.
