Your thoughts (possible induction date)?

Just wondering what you ladies would think.....

I'm due on the 23rd, but had no signs of any progress whatsoever as of my last appt this past week. My OB scheduled me for induction on the 26th, so we have an end in sight if I don't go on my own sooner.

She also mentioned possibly moving my induction up to the 20th, because the hospital had lots of openings on that day, and may as well get this over with if an induction is enivitable.

has consistently measured above the 90th percentile, so we assume size and development aren't an issue. Last growth sono was 2 weeks ago and he measured over 8lbs.

I've had MAJOR swelling issues since 20 weeks, so my pain/discomfort level is something of a concern at this point - although while my BP had a slight elevation a few weeks ago, it's been fine since.

My question is this: I'm pretty sure that if I ask to move up to the 20th, my OB would do it. Would you?

I know it may not be a popular opinion, but yes, I would. I have some similar issues and that is why I opted to do my c-section the day after my due date instead of waiting a week or more.
