Induction Date
Well, they scheduled me for an induction on Wednesday if I haven't had her by then. I go in that evening for the Cervadil, then the following day (Thursday) they start the pitocin and then I deliver  . I reallllllly don't want to be induced, I want her to come on her own 
Next Wednesday I hit 41 weeks...I just wish I could push the induction date back a few days, to give her more of a chance to come on her own
Edited to change the days. The office pushed it back a day half an hour after they originally called. So now it's Weds night/Thursday.

i was thinking the same thing, they didn't even mention an induction for me today, maybe when i go back on monday if he's not here they will talk about it.

How dialated are you again?
I'm only a fingertip (as of yesterday) and have been that way for ~4 weeks I think.
Doc just said yesterday that they don't let anyone get to 42 weeks, so once I reached 40 weeks (yesterday), they'd schedule something for next week (on Weds. I will be 41 weeks exactly)...DH & I were hoping they'd schedule for later next week (Thurs or Fri), to have more of a chance for her to come on her own. But now we're saying "well, maybe this is when she's meant to come".
I guess I'll have to see how I feel in the morning, then call & talk my doctor in the morning if I'm still uneasy about it...I mean, I don't know how 'flexible' they are with changes, and I'm no doctor, so how the heck do I know that she shouldn't come on Wednesday like planned now, you know?

Getting induced really isn't so horrible, I know its not the way you want to go, but its also not healthy to let them stay in there too long.

My dr. said the same thing - that she won't let me go to 42 weeks. After speaking with her yesterday about getting induced - she said that right now - my cervix is one that she would not induce (being only a fingertip dialated) and she really wants to see what happens over the next couple of days or so.
If I get to my appointment on Monday (I will be 41w2d) then I want to schedule an induction for Wednesday (41w4d) - if he has not come on his own by then I really think he will need some prodding.
Also, did they have you do a biophysical profile yet?

me too and have tried Chinese, spicy foods, eggplant, etc, NONE of it worked and truthfully, i know everyone says to have sex, but i am so uncomfortable and in pain now, that ain't happening

I just edited my post. They called me back a little while ago saying they made a mistake on the dates, they pushed it back to go in Weds night, induction Thursday, which makes me feel a little better. And then they had me schedule an appt at the office for Monday, so we'll see what doc says then...I'll talk to him when I'm there MOnday morning.
What exactly is a biophysical profile? I had a sono yesterday to measure fluid level and just check her size out, I also got one last week for the same thing. Is a biophysical profile something different? 
I agree, if you get to 41w4d, your little guy needs some pursuading to come out!! You're a trooper!!!

Sounds like you got the Biophysical. First they hook me up to a machine that monitors his heartbeat and my contractions. I am usually on that for about 20-30 minutes. Then they bring me in and do a sono to measure the fluid. Did they say if you are low on fluid? Maybe that's why he wants to schedule it sooner?
I am having Chinese tonight, eggplant for lunch tomorrow, and Mexican tomorrow night. I have all my bases covered!

Yes, I also got the Non-Stress Test (the machine that monitors baby's heartbeat and my contractions) yesterday, after the sono. I also got both of these at 32 weeks when I was feeling much less movement.
No, I'm not low on fluid, they said it looked normal yesterday. I guess they just want to not let me get too far past 41 weeks, and got me in at exactly 41 weeks. I'm starting to be less worried about it, although I hope she comes on her own...the funny thing is, her waiting to come until the induction would be sooo much better for my family, who are all OOT and now have plans to be here for the induction (while realizing that she may come sooner)...maybe she'll decide on her own Weds. morning to come, and all our bases will then be covered-- family coming down and no induction!

Maybe they'll do the Non-Stress Test too. The nurse hooks it up when you're in the exam room and leaves you for like 15-20 minutes, then they/doctor checks it out. I didn't know sono & NST are what basically make up the biophysical until Diana let me know, so I guess I got that yesterday too!
