Seriously.....who does this happen too?
I was bit by a tick last night!!!!!!!! Im almost 5 weeks, so I called my OB who made me bring the little flucker in so they can send it to the lab to be tested. I refuse to google what it could mean if I contracted some tic disease and for the baby........Im sure nothing good would come up. Its making me a WRECK though!!!!!
When I was pregnant with DS, I was exposed to 5ths disease within the first few weeks and was a WRECK then too, I also googled.....which is why I wont do it again this time.
UGH - Im so nervous!!

How scary. I hope everything is ok! Good thing you got the tick out and knew what happened. Best of luck!!! Definitely dont look anything up and wait until the dr talks to you.

Glad you called your OB and that they'll be testing it. I'm sure you're fine, but of course it's always best to be informed!

Since you found the tick and called the doc within a day, heaven forbid they find something, they can give you antibiotics now (that are safe for pg women) and treat anything that comes up. You'll be okay.
So sorry this happened to you, though! What an ordeal!

That said, I read it as "I got bit by a tic tac" the first 10x I read it through and I was sooooooooo confused.

Im not going to lie, Im freaking out a little.
Should I wait for the results or call my OB back and ask to be started on antibiotics?

thanks ladies.....Im going to call my OB back in a bit and ask about starting precautionary antibiotics unless the results are only going to take a day or two to come back.

I've gotten many tick bites over the years - so gross, so freaky, but usually fine.
My OB told me if I have any questions about anything always call the office. He specifically said "NEVER GO ON GOOGLE". I commend you for not doing that - smart move!

Yes, little flucker was behind my knee!!!!!
I called my OB about the antibiotics and they gave me a list of safe antibiotics and told me to call my GP and speak to them. So Im waiting for a call back from my GP now.
