How to decorate master?
I'm completely lacking the decorating gene so I'm clueless regarding how to decorate our master. What do you put on your night stands, besides a lamp? I have recessed lighting already so I'm not sure I want to put lamps out. What can you do? And what do you put on a dresser? I'm not sure what would look good! If you have any pics that would be awesome!!!!

I would put lamps anyway. I didn't have anything for a while and it looked weird. Some picture frames and maybe a candle or 2. I wouldn't go crazy with the night stands

I have an old-fashioned perfume tray (the mirrored kind) on one dresser, and on the bureau (which is taller than me), there's a dried floral arrangement (including preserved flowers from our wedding actually) in a pretty basket. picture frames on either side of it.
end table has lamps and our respective "jewelry" boxes. I put that in quotes because DH's contains really important stuff like golf tees, and uniform buttons.

I have overhead lighting too but still use table lamps on my nightstands. I have a bud vase with a flower and a wind up alarm clock on one. The other has books and the light.
The dresser I have a glass vase and my jewerly box.

We have lamps..I have picture frames, alarm, pretty bottle of lotion, and sometimes I put like a stack of books with a flower on top.

We have tiny lamps and a picture on each. I also keep a candle and hand cream because I put lotion on my obscenely dry hands before bed and I only remember if its reachable!
Dresser also has a candle and jewelry box.
For now it also has the TV but we are thinking of switching the room around to wall mount it.

On both night stands I keep a candle, lamp and a conch shell in the master bedroom and all bedrooms. I prefer less on the side tables. Less clutter, less to clean is my theory. Sometimes I take away the conch shells and fill bud vases with flowers.

This is what we did. I have some knicknacks and candles on my dresser too.

On my side I have a lamp and my alarm clock.. but it has also gotten a little cluttered and I have some books and cd cases that don't really belong there 
On my DH's side, he has a lamp, alarm clock, and a framed picture of the two of us.
