Need new pants
I prefer slim trouser-type work pants - stright legs, even a little narrow is okay, but not skinny. I will NOT spend the $$ at Ann Taylor or Loft or BR so pleas do not suggest those stores 
NY and Co. had NOTHING. Any other suggestions?

Have you tried The Limited? It's only in Walt Whitman but I LOVE their pants.

I don't know if this helps you, however, I was at the Tanger outlets in Riverhead last weekend and they had an express outlet. Seriously, they had all of the same stuff the stores have. I got so many things. Their pants are really cheap, and they have all sizes. I was shocked. I'm an Express girl, and I'll definitely be going to the outlet for all of my pants now.

Dress Barn has nice dress pants, in all sorts of leg widths and they arent too expensive and fit nice

You are going to laugh but I found some in MANDEE'S! lol they were only 19.99 with back pockets too.. They resemble my Theory ones which are heck of alot more!

Try TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I always find pants there. Or Old Navy. I like their perfect khakis. I refuse to spend $$$ on work pants bc working in a lab I am always spilling chemicals on my pant legs.

agree. and I always see The Limited brand or Express brand there for 12.99 or something crazy like that. I also see brand like Tahari, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren there too for 29.99 or less.
Have you tried tanger BR Outlet in Deer Park?
They have good prices.

If length is not an issue Kohl's has a ton.
But I can't wear Kohl's pants since they generally don't come in long and I need long lengths.
Old navy has nice ones for cheap
And Victoria's Secret I love- but not sure if you want to buy online.

Well in all my travels with VS I learned a little something.
Don't buy their pants that are 100% (or close to 100%) cotton. They don't wash well. I had a pair in black that faded so bad when I washed them (in COLD water with a detergent for DARK laundry no less!) they also shrunk in the length and wrinkled like a RAG!
They have very good customer service though and took them back and refunded me.
I ended up going with their "seasonless stretch" material -it's a blend of cotton, ploy and some other synthetic fabric (Visose or something) and they hold up beautifully!!
