Re: when did you think you would have your first kid? did that happen?

Life has a funny way of happening, so I guess it did turn out according to what I thought would happen, even though that wasn't the plan. We got married at 24 just shy of 25 and 29.5, and thought we'd wait 2 years at least before trying, but that went out the window, so I'll be 26 when Marina is born, and DH will be just shy of 31. My mother got married at 24 just shy of 25 too, and had me a month before her 26th birthday, so I'm kinda following in her footsteps, just off by 6 months. But I always wanted to have my kids early, and we would like 3 most likely, and I seem to be doing very well with pregnancy so I want to be completely done by like 32-33, which gives me a 3 year spread between babies, which who knows if that will happen, but it seems like it's feasible at least right now.

At 25 the LAST thing on my mind was settling down and had no "plans" for anything but *ME*
When I met DH @ 31, I knew I was ready to get married. We both wanted Chat Icon Chat Icon ASAP
We started trying even before Chat Icon Chat Icon It ended up taking us over 3 years to get to this point.

Life doesn't always go according to plan. What is that saying, we plan, God laughs. I truly believe things happen exactly when they are suppose to Chat Icon

I feel the same.. and my life kinda went the same.. I did get prego right away with DD & again with #2 so that part is different but I totally agree that things happen when they are suppose too!

Re: when did you think you would have your first kid? did that happen?

When I was a child my plan was to get married at 25, have my first at 28 and my second at 30. I did not meet my DH until I was 26. We got married two weeks after I turned 28. I had DS at 29 (two weeks before I turned 30). I had DD at 32 (one month after my 32 birthday) so I was off by about 2 years for everything but I am 100% ok with it and happy with how everything turned out. I put myself under a lot more stress than I had to.
