When did your kid have His/Her first sleep over
At someone else's Kids house?
Some of you may still only have infants/toddlers but when will you let him/her stay over a friends house over night?

My family was never a fan of sleep overs at anothers house. My sister has pre teens and still not for it...

I think if you know the parents well and they live close, 8 or 9 maybe.
I'm not a big sleep over fan to be honest, never was as a child either.

my oldest DD will be 3 in 5 days and still hasn't even spent a night at grandma's. My friend just went away overnight and left her 2 year old at a friends house, so he was 2 for his first sleepover.

Robbie and No are 8 & 6.. they have slept at relatives homes.. but have not yet slept overnight at a friend's home that wasn't related (related being used loosely to describe blood relations and folks who are just extremely good long term friends).
Robbie's had a few invites recently.. but I just don't have that level of comfort with any of his friend's parents yet. I know.. I'm a weirdo.

DS had his first sleepover at my parents when he was 11 weeks and has since slept over there and my MIL's a bunch of times. I have no problem letting him sleep over a friends house when he gets a little older as long as I know and am comfortable with the parents. I know I was around 5 when I first slept over a friends house.

Ryan is 13 months and has never slept away from home. But most of that is because I EBF I wasn't comfortable with leaving him somewhere.
He may be staying with Grandma and Grandpa next year when we go away. But knowing us, we'll probably just bring him along 
My nephews (5, 3, and 1) have only slept here without their parents, never at a friends house.
