What essentials do I need for a smokey eye look?
I have a 10 pc brush kit from Mac. How many eyeshadows do I need? Is primer a necessity?

I feel primer is necessary for ANY eyeshadow application..it helps it stay put and it doesn't crease.
You can use as many shades as you want but generally, I use 3-4 shades.. :O)

the dior shadow base is so amazing
I can do my eye make up at 9am
and it still looks good at 12am when I am done bartending
also- not that you should- but I passed out on the couch one night with make up on - I woke up and my eye shadow was perfect more or less
