Today is 39 weeks! *Warning not for the faint of heart*
... and I wanted to share some pictures.
My DH likes to read to our son. I think it's really cute so I decided to take pictures of him doing it. I even included the most gory of all... the ugly stretch mark picture.
I don't remember getting all of them but they are there. I'm actually not ashamed of them, they are part of me, part of my journey towards motherhood. I will show them to anyone who wants to see. This is from a person who was always ashamed of her stomach all of her life. Now if I can only get this baby out of my scarred stomach and into the world!

I agree with this! At first I was so scared of getting them. Now I'm seeing them a bit differently. They are something to be proud of!

you look GREAT!!! They really are a badge of honor!! I am 39 weeks too! I decided to frighten everyone at the beach today, and sport a 2 piece! I got lots of stares and looks!! lol

Cute pics! When I got my first stretch mark I freaked. But then I started thinking about it and I came to the realization that my body is going to do whatever it needs to do in order to make a healthy DS. If that means hideous stretch marks, then thats what has to be done.
