Trouble sleeping for no reason...

Just weird... I'm 12 weeks and this past week I've been waking up just before 3am with my mind RACING about stupid stuff. I just lay there awake... go to pee just for the heck of it... try to go back to sleep... then usually go downstairs to watch The Nanny on TV Land until I get tired again an hour and a half later. Then I go back to bed only to wake up EXHAUSTED when my alarm goes off!!

Anyone else have this odd insomnia?Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

OMG yes! Except that I watch Law and Order Chat Icon I haven't been able to sleep through the night for my entire pregnancy. I don't know how I even function anymore on so little sleep and I never could figure out why the heck I wake up so much Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
I'm sorry to be a downer, but at almost 38 weeks It never let up. I hope it gets better for you

Yes! I am usually a very sound sleeper and I am waking up more than 1 time per night. I'm usually thirsty but for some odd reason I have an aversion to drinking so despite my water glass being a half inch from my face I won't drink the water and I lay there thirsty. What the heck is that about? I don't know.

Ditto!

And the insomnia seems to strike at random. It will go away for a bit, and then come back full force.

Yep. I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat during the day, but at night I constantly wake up (not even to pee!). Some nights it's because I'm uncomfortable, but others it's just for no reason.

Ahh, ladies - it is not for no reason. Night waking was actually a give away symptom in my 2WW with my boys.
Sadly, your body is preparing you for the inevitable middle of the night wakings once baby is here! Thanks mother nature Chat Icon

Re: Trouble sleeping for no reason...

I'm lucky if I get 1 good night of sleep per week. I just can't sleep anymore. Besides getting up to pee 2-4 times a night I just wake up roll around all night long. I'm so tried all day because of it. I've heard it the hormones.
