I had fallen in love with it in a Bloomingdales catalog, but then saw it in Nordstroms and thought it photographed better then it actually was.

Nay. I don't like gold hardware and I prefer my everyday bag to have one strap that can fit on my shoulder.
I am looking for a black everyday bag too. I have bought and returned about 5 of them. I have commitment issues.

I believe I saw this same bag at Saks in brown on a really good sale!!  They may have only had one left though!! I liked it but in my opinion it seemed like more of a winter bag (in the brown, at least) than a year-round bag. That's why I didn't get it. It's nice though!!
ETA: I think it was originally in the 400s and it was on sale for something in the 180s.
