Starting IVF at NSUH
After having 7 iuis (one resulting in a miscarriage), we had our IVF consult last week. We are moving forward with IVF. It is scary, exciting, and nerve-wracking at the same time. 
I had my saline sono today. No cysts/polyps. yay! But, boy is it weird to have water leaking out of your who-ha all day .
I have my mock transfer on Friday and my sono to begin Lupron next Friday.
Eeeeek!!!! Anyone else starting an IVF cycle soon?

You are in good hands at NSUH, my sister got prego twice there doing ivf, she saw dr herslag and scholl.

Sure, it's usually referred to as a mock transfer or trial of transfer. Basically, it's a fancy term. All it really means is that the RE (in this case I happen to have Dr. Herschlag for this particular appt) is going to try several difft. catheters to see which one works the best with my uterus.
They do this now so they can see see and know excatly which tools they need for the embryo retrieval and transfer, since that is not the time they want to be fidgeting around and everyone's uterus is shaped differently.
Or at least this is the way it was explained to me.  The nurse said the appt. is about 15 min. so not too bad.

Thank you. I love to hear success stories!!! I know at NSUH you get whoever is on the day of the your procedure. I have Hershlag for my mock transfer and sono to begin lupron. I had Scholl for my saline sono. I have never had hershlag before but he always smiles and is so nice when I have been in the waiting room.

I'm finishing up Lupron this week. This is my 2nd IVF cycle with Dr. B.
