waste of $
So I recently bought 3 skinny jeans and I saw 1 more that I like. But part of me feels like this is a trend it's not something that i'll be wearing in another 2 years.
Does anyone else feel like this? And if so what pieces of clothing do you buy that you feel will last the test of time?

Re: waste of $
this is why I've bought my skinny jeans from forever21. They are cheap, fit pretty well but WHEN they go out of style I wont care as much.
I'm willing to spend more on classic pieces that I can wear to work and that will always be in style, and on shoes and handbags where quality really matters.

Ditto. I bought my skinny jeans from Strawberry for under $20.
But even if skinny jeans aren't as popular in the future, jeans and knee high boots are always going to be wearable and skinny jeans are perfect for that.

Re: waste of $
I read (in InStyle maybe) that flared jeans will be trendy in the spring.
I love my skinnies, and a few years ago they were trenedy, then the huge wide leg pants were in for a few months and then the skinnies again. i feel like they will come back even if they take a few months off.

Re: waste of $
This is funny, I actually asked my friend who designs jeans for Michael Kors the same thing! She said that skinny jeans are still in style and will be for a while (or at least she hopes).

Re: waste of $
I bought my 1st skinny jeans at least 2 yrs ago so I can't say I think they were a waste of money esp. since I didn't spend alot of money on them but that' fashion...the styles are changing and they are showing 70s flare jeans for Spring.

Re: waste of $
Nah, I like them! Honestly, I could care less if a particular style is in or out. I think there are certain styles that become popular and trendy but never go out because they are classic and I think skinny jeans can fit that bill. As long as they look good, that's all that matters.

Re: waste of $
Like I posted in another thread, I'm done with trends. I wear what looks good on me and that's all I care about. I used to think I couldn't wear anything skinny on the bottom but I've learned with the right fit and proportion I can and I love the look. I still have my boot-cut jeans and my flares that I love and I'll continue to wear those as well.

I feel the same way. I think skinny jeans are so practical for this reason and I don't think knee high boots will ever go out of style.

Re: waste of $
Yeah, sometimes I do feel that way. Usually what ends up happening is that that 'thing' becomes a trend for a lot longer than I suspected. For the longest time I hated skinny jeans (no offense) but things grow on you - I just bought my first pair this week. And talk about a bargain - $5 at the gap!

I love skinny jeans and I am a "thicker" girl. I have 3 pairs (guess) that I love to wear with boots.

I am petite and curvy. My everyday jeans are straight or skinny. For me, they will stick around and I will wear them a lot. They are a great look/fit for me.
Now my BFF buys skinny jeans with studs, rips and rhinestones...THOSE will be out.

Re: waste of $
I don't think they will go out of style anytime soon.
They are the only jeans that look just right with rain boots, snow boots or any boots for that matter.
They also look cute with flats or cuffed.
I love wide leg jeans and I wear them too, but I find them to be a bit more casual, unless you are pairing them with a pair of platform sandals for the spring/summer.
