I think I am going to have a breakdown.
I cannot take what is going on in my house right now... We can't get settled in. I can't be home with Sasha during the day-- and I have to continue cleaning like a mad woman constantly.
We specifically allowed 4 weeks to do work so we wouldn't have to deal with this when we lived here. Now due to this stinkin' leak-- I have people in and out of the house, and I can't use the family room as there is a big hole in the ceiling. And I have plastic drop cloths over the heavy furniture in the bedroom and we had to move everything out, and I JUST had it set up before this all happened.
My baby wakes up at 5 and sleeps for MAYBE an hour all day. Stuff is still all over the place, and now it's worse because of the work in the master bath and family room.
Aside from the fact for what I have spent in that bathroom already-- I had replaced the countertop, and now we have to pay for the shower to be gutted-- I could have spend a little more and just started from scratch in there. The contractor found concrete poured over old tile-- whoever did the work was either very unprofessional or very cheap. WHO does that? It's so irresponsible. Don't people believe in protecting their asset??!!
This is after a month of handling 99.9% of the renovations myself, Traveling an hour+ each way multiple times a week. Packing about 43 of the the 45 boxes total we moved with.
When does the stress and exhaustion end, and when does the enjoying the new home begin?

You took on a lot of renovations. It definitely takes it's toll. We redid our house pretty much top to bottom but PRE- DD...after learning what it was like, that's why I didn't want a house that needed major work this time around. I just knew I would not have the energy. You are alot like me, you hate disorder and disorganization and it's so hard when these things happen. I hope things settle down soon and that you do what needs to be done, but can finally start enjoying it.

we honestly didn't do anything MAJOR-- just lots of little things to make the house not feel totally stale.
I can't even have a drink because Sash wakes up too early!!!

This is going to be us in a few months, and I'm HOPING to have all the renovations done before we move out, but if it's not we def need to move in while renovations going on...and I'm cringing just thinking about it!!!!
It'll be over before you know it, but just buying a house and not doing any renovations ensues a bit of chaos...so just ride this wave and I'm sure it'll be over soon and FINALLY you'll have some peace!!!

It takes time. It will work out. Try not to get to upset. It's really hard when you first buy a house and are doing renovations or cleaning up previous owners messes. It will get better. Have a glass of wine and try to relax.

I have been living in a construction zone since we bought the house in January ........I just ignore the mess.....

Hopefully everything goes more smoothly for you, I can't imagine having a baby wake at 5 AM  i get annoyed when My babies wake before 8AM
I will soon be in a similar position, we are moving , and will be renovating on our own w/ 2 babies and a DH who works a lot. I'm going to lose it as well
