Planters / Arborvitae screens
Does anyone have any pics they can share of how they used arborvitaes as a screen or maybe even some elevated planters?
I'm thinking about maybe getting an elevated brick planter along the fence line and planting arborvitaes in it so I don't have to see my neighbors.

We're hoping this eventually becomes a hedge. It may take a few years, but if you wanted it immediately, you would just have to buy larger ones. These were originally 3'-4' tall when we planted them in the spring. There are 25 trees covering 100'.
The pic was taken when they were first planted. Most have grown 6" - 1' since being planted!

I have leyland cypress and they grow 3' from spring to fall. They look so good.

We used red cedars. Over the last 6 years they have grown into a hedge, but you must have them cut every year to control the width and push the growth inwards for density and privacy. I will see if I have pics.

These are great! We have friends that have these along the border of their home - gorgeous, thick privacy wall.
