GOOD LUCK!
My brother lives up there -- and I agree with another poster -- Price Chopper is the best supermarket for good prices.
A nice restaurant up there that will have a "downstate feeling" to it -- but with upstate prices is Delmonico's Italian Steakhouse -- there is one on Central Avenue in Albany. Love eating there when we go visit.

I do and I love it! You'll be happy here--I live the Colonie area as well.
Price Chopper and Hannaford are great and they are opening a new health food store on Route 9 which you'll become familiar with.
Lots of stuff to do and very easy to get around. Congrats to you!
