Hi - New and Question!

Hi Everyone!

I've been lurking for a long time, but I just wanted to introduce myself to you all. DH and I are in our first month of TTC and we are really excited to start a family!

You all seem so helpful, so I hope you don't mind me asking a question as well. I have been in my 2WW and would have received AF yesterday. I tested this morning and it's negative.

I've had some light spotting and mild cramping though the last two days - do you think this is a bad sign? Did I test too early or do you think I could have miscarried?

Thank you for your help!

And lots of Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to you all!

Re: Hi - New and Question!

welcome to the boards!!

To answer your questions, there can be many reason why AF is late, I don't think you tested early, I don't think you had an early miscarriage and I don't think it's a bad sign that AF is late. You may just have ovulated at a later time and that's why AF is late. If you would have had an early m/c you probably would have gotten a very faint positive on a pregnancy test followed by bleeding like a regular period.

How do you know you ovulated at a certain time? do you temp, use OPKs, track your CM? If you don't know 100% when you Oed then it could be early to test...I would wait a few days and if AF hasnt showed, test again.

Good Luck on your TTC journey Chat Icon

welcome! I wouldn't count yourself out yet. You could have ovulated later than you thought... so your timing might just be a little off. best of luck Chat Icon

Welcome....also not to get your hopes up, but it could be implantation bleeding. Hang in there...its not over until AF shows up!
