HELP! Broken glass cooktop
Im so upset with myself. I have a cabinet above my stove with a ceramic cooktop and a bottle of olive oil fell out and shattered my cooktop.
Has this ever happened to anyone??
Were you able to get it replaced??
If you dont mind me asking, how much did it cost?
Was it worth it or should I just look to replace the entire stove (which I really dont want to do since its not that old)?
I am so upset with myself about this.

ugh this happened to the people we bought the house from...they warned us not to store anything hard/breakable in the cabinet over the cooktop....
Our cooktop is just a cooktop--is yours connected to the stove?
If it shattered, it sounds like you have to replace it...sorry!

Our cooktop is just a cooktop--is yours connected to the stove?
If it shattered, it sounds like you have to replace it...sorry!
Its the entire stove.
I dont even know how to go about replacing it.

I'd start by calling the manufacturer. When we moved into our house I was able to get replacement parts for our refrigerator and dishwasher (shelves, baskets, etc.). The cooktop would almost certainly need a professional installer but they may have authorized installers that they can recommend and may be able to give you costs too.

I asked about that when we bought ours and I think the whole thing needs to be replaced. Sorry :( I agree though, call the manufacturer or a repair company just to confirm.

this happened to a friend of ours. I think they checked with PC Richards and it was about $300-$400 to have it replaced.
