My hydrangea bush is dying
I am so upset...is there any way to save it?
We are re-doing the landscaping in our backyard and decided to move our beautiful hydrangea bush. Now it seems to be dying  I wish we hadn't moved it. I dont know what we did wrong.

It's hot and they love to be watered! So water everyday. It's shocked right now. We did the same thing and it didn't seem like it was going to do well, but the following year it was better. Is is in direct sun all day? If it is, then it's drying out. They are part sun/ part shade plants usually.

Definitely keep it hydrated- I gave mine a good soak on Sat. and 24 hours later it was all wilty already- the heat doesn't help. Good luck!

I planted new hydrangeas this year and I water them twice a day in this heat. They always seem a little wilty and spring back when I water them, so try doing it twice a day.

miracle grow the hell out of it. in my old house, i brought one home i think too late in the season, and it apppeared to just die, but i left it be until the following year, and lo-and-behold, i had litte green sprouts, i didn't get flowers though until the following year.......

water, water, water....ours did this right after we moved in a took out the jungle in our backyard (see pics in album, we shocked the he ll out of poor thing)
It's back and gorgeous!

i feel your pain...my dog just dug up half my hydrangea bush yesterday :o( i could of killed him..its finally starting to get flowers.

Is it in the full sun? I found ours does better in part shade.
