Bug zapper
I need something BAD! i have mosquitos the size of 1/2 my hand out in my yard. i have been chewed up three times already (you could play connect the dots on my legs). my ankle was actually so swollen i couldn't wear shoes!
my parents had one that had this light and water trench under it. they'd come to the light and drown themselves. i know it was very expensive compared to other bug killers out there.
anyone have anything that's productive?
i think i have monster bugs b/c we had that pond in the yard that we removed. there was still water all winter.
HELP! I look ridiculous!

Re: Bug zapper
I don't know about the bug zapper but I am a prime target for mosquitos. It's actually ridiculous how much they bite me. I've tried EVERYTHING and nothing works. Then someone told me to rub UNSCENTED drier sheets on myself before I go out and stick it in my pocket. I tired this the other night when I took my dog for a walk and it worked. Not one bite (and I went right at dusk when they say the mosquitos are out the most). It sounds crazy but I'm going to keep doing it. I know it doesn't solve the yard problem, but if it keeps you bite free then I think it's worth it.

I have a serious mosquito problem too but I live accross the street from a lake. I went into homedepot and they sell citronella plants, have you tried that? I haven't bought it cause I wasnt sure if it would work

Re: Bug zapper
Bug Zappers dont really do much. Id get those citronella candles and stuff like that. As well as get the cutter wipes for anti bug repellant. Those things REALLY work and dont smell to much.

Re: Bug zapper
We have a bug zapper and we spray the cutter mosquitoes spray every 6 weeks and that really works for us. We also cut a lot of trees and took out all the over grown shrubs.

Same for us.
I think the spray works better than the zapper, but we use both together.
We also have citronella torch lights and small pot citronella candles for the table.
Our firepit also keeps the bugs away.
