Our armoire doors have the ability to fold all the way to the sides, but we don't have the space around it to do that, so they stick out to the sides while we watch TV. It doesn't bother us at all. Usually I only watch before bed or while getting ready for work.

Way back we were looking for an armoire for the tv and I wanted one where the doors fold back and are hidden. Like a hotel.

They make special hardware I think.

We didn't get it the end b/c the tv is huge and is mounted on the wall.

I'm sure it would not take away from his viewing pleasure

if it were left open when we weren't watching TV, then yes it would bother me - but we always close the doors when TV isn't in use....

We have this set-up in our bedroom and it doesn't bug me that much, but the doors are rarely closed and so I don't really get to appreciate the beauty of my armoire. Plus, since the doors don't tuck back, it just looks sloppy.

If it were in my living room and the doors didn't fold all the way back, it would drive me crazy!

ours has doors that pull open, then out.. and then you can tuck them inside the cabinet to the sides of the TV...
