Overanalyzing things!

I think I am losing my mind, lol. I posted previously that I had very noticable cramping/pinching/twinging in my lower left abdomen this past tues, wed and thurs. Those days are about 6dpo - 8 dpo for me. My boobs have also been a bit sore on the sides which I don't think I ever had before. Yesterday, the cramping was completely gone. I actually felt very good. I took an opk test when I got home, because I had them and I got a very faint line.

I know LH is always in a woman's system to so I didn't get too excited about anything (I heard an opk can sometimes id pregnancy hormones) I read on the package that you should NOT use first morning urine on an opk because LH synthesizes in your body in the morning and it wont show up.

So naturally, I took an opk this morning first thing. I got a test line, darker than yesterdays, but still fainter than the control line. Now, pregnancy hormones do show up strongest first thing in the morning right? So am I wrong in thinking maybe this could be some indication of something? Should I just cave and take a real hpt?

I just don't want to be disappointed. I've already let myself get to carried away! What do you think?

i think you should go out and buy a pregnancy test. why are you using OPK's to test for pregnancy?

I know you shouldn't use an opk to test for pregnancy, I just happened to have them in the closet and I heard they can sometimes indicate something. I guess I am nervous to use an hpt because it's a bit early on. I think I am about 10 dpo today, isn't that early to test? I'm not too informed on this stuff.

10dpo is early but not unheard of to get a BFP. You can get a BFP at 10dpo but you can also very well get a false negative.

if you are going to test early you should be using HPTs and not OPKs. using an OPK is meaningless since they can detect both hormones, so you will never know which one it is, and you cant trust the results. if you are going to test use HPT's so at least you wont have to speculate the results as much.
good luck!
