how long does an lh surge last - updated with another question
For background i have pcos and high lh. Its cd35 of my first metformin cycle. Often opks dont work for me due to the high lh. But this cycle i had all bfn opk until this mornimg. I have had ewcm for the last few days which i usually only get when im really goimg to o.
All that being said we didnt bd since saturday but def will tonight. I rarely have true lh surges or o on my own so this is exciting!!! Last night the opk was bfn but close to + and def + this morning. How long do u think i have to bd and still be in the game??

I think the LH surge can last 12-24 hours and you can O anywhere from 12-36 hours after positive OPK. I would BD tonight, tomorrow, Friday, and Sunday. Good luck!!!

so heres another question - if i keep getting +OPK's (like i got another + just now) does that mean im still surging and have NOT O'ed yet? 
i just hope to not miss the egg - i want some swimmers there before it drops but i wont be home to BD til around 7pm.
lol i sound like such a newbie but this is only the second cycle i am Oing without meds (besides metformin) and monitoring since starting TTC 11+ months ago  .

You might have caught your surge on the way up--and since you can surge for 24 hours, you might be on the way down now, but it would still show as positive. It *should mean you haven't O'd just yet. I got 2 in a row my first month testing, but the 3rd day it was negative and based on CM, it seems I O'd that day.

i hope you are right!!
i also hope that this is the real thing and i actually O at some point  i have had so many fakeouts due to PCOS but I seem to have all the real symptoms..

im hoping it didnt happen yet - still got another + OPK this afternoon but EWCM is almost gone now - going home to be BD in 5 mins
