MIL's dog barks at her own shadow in glass doors
How do you stop them from doing this?

Denver did that as a puppy - he did it for a week or so then learned.

If I knew, I'd tell you. My 3-year old dogs still do it from time to time

Re: MIL's dog barks at her own shadow in glass doors
Kasey doesn't bark in front of our glass doors but she will in front of our full-length mirrors. It's too funny!!
She used to do it a lot when she was younger, now that she's 3 I think she's figured it out but will still do it every so often.
The only way to stop her is to say "No".

my dog does that too and i just close the blinds to cover the reflection. he used to do that to the TV stand (has a storage part with glass doors). i covered the glass with a blanket. he eventually stopped and we no longer have the blanket up

Re: MIL's dog barks at her own shadow in glass doors
Jake did that for about a month when we first brought him home and then he just grew out of it on his own. Maybe your MIL can sit with him in front of the glass and pet him. Keep showing him the reflection of both of them and then turn his head back to your MIL. After a few times, maybe he'll realize that it's just himself that he sees because he'll realize he sees your MIL in the reflection, but your MIL is actually right next to him....KWIM?
