Christening vent
Originally I wanted to have Ryans christening this month, but DH is taking these classes on the weekends through most of the spring and all of April is out. So then I planned it for May 21 because Mothers Day is the weekend before and Memorial Day is the weekend after, but the church is not available. SO, I had to move it to the next weekend DH can do and that is June 25. So I booked the church and let my family and DH's family know about a month ago.
Well, we get a call on our answering machine from my MIL saying that she talked to DH's aunt today and DH's cousin has his high school graduation the same day as the christening, and to call her back. This basically means that we have to change the christening!!! If we dont then that whole part of the family will not go to the baptism. Now I understand that they cant change this graduation, but why in the heck is it just assummed that we will change the date??????? I was FURIOUS and still am about this. But if I dont change it, then I look like the b!tch. I am soooooooo pizzed!
Thanks for listening.

Re: Christening vent
I know that position all to well. April, May and June are so busy with First COmmunions, weddings, graduations, etc. MY MIL actually told me that May was not the best month to have another child (our first was born in May around Mother's day and she has a problem with that too!). You'll never be able to please everyone at the same time. Just do what's best for your family and accept some people will not like it. Its not your fault.
